This is an evening for Nairobi’s cinema lovers to gather, connect, and celebrate African storytelling through film. The event features the Kenyan premiere of Mambar Pierrette (2023), a moving docu-style narrative from Cameroon that resonates deeply with Kenyan audiences through its honest portrayal of family, resilience, and the enduring strength of African mothers.
The night will also showcase 6 outstanding short films by Kenyan directors, followed by an engaging panel discussion with filmmakers, industry experts, and the audience. Guests are invited to stay after the screenings for a casual afterparty at the Unseen Nairobi bar area — an opportunity to meet fellow film lovers, share ideas, and build new creative networks.
