This article covers important information on authorised and prohibited products in South Korea.

The following products can be imported to South Korea in the quantities shown below without paying taxes:

Tobacco: 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars

Alcoholic beverages: 1 bottle of wine or spirits (maximum 1 liter)

2 ounces of perfume

Gifts: 300,000 won in maximum value

Cash: up to US$ 10,000

Prohibited goods

Printed materials, films or sound recordings which are considered as subversive or harmful to national security or public interest by the authorities

Firearms, explosives or any other weapon

More than five square meters cloth

Animals or plants which are prohibited by existing regulations
