About

I was born in Clamart (Haut-de-Seine/France) in 1976 and also have Canadian nationality. It was my passion for the sea and dolphins and my commitment to protecting the seabed that brought me to photography. It is in Strasbourg (France) then in Montpellier (France), that I prepare my future meetings with his prot茅g茅s. In 1995, I discovered my first whale (fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus)) and the striped dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba) in the "Pelagos" marine sanctuary in the Mediterranean Sea. My travels in Canada allowed me to meet orcas (Orcinus orca) (1997), pairs of blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus) (2000) or fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) (2000) and the humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) (2006). In Guadeloupe (French Antilles), I worked in an aquarium and looked after sea turtles (Caretta caretta and Chelonia mydas) (1998). In the Azores it was a newborn sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) that I had the privilege of discovering (1999).... My photographic work is carried out mainly outside of water. Otherwise it is the result of my swimming with eight sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and spinner dolphins (Stenella longirostris) in Mauritius (2000), long-finned pilot whales (Globicephala melas) in the Mediterranean (2000), my first black tip shark (Carcharinus melanopterus) in the Bahamas (2001) or the humpback whale (Megaptera Novenglae) and the bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) in French Polynesia (2008 to 2010). In addition to my photographic activity, I am a member of world associations on cetaceans, a naturalist guide to encounter cetaceans, and an activist against the captivity of dolphins (Parc Ast茅rix (France) in 1997) and orcas. As such, I host conferences and publish articles in order to 鈥渞aise public awareness鈥 and 鈥渇uture generations鈥. I spent a stay in French Polynesia (2008 to 2010) as a naturalist guide for a group of dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) sedentary on the Rangiroa attol (Tuamotu archipelago). In the winter of 2010, I was a translator for a humpback whale (Megaptera Novenglae) observation company in the Dominican Republic (Saman谩). Today, I am based in Escoumins (Quebec, Canada) with my family as a boat captain and photographer for marine mammals on the St. Lawrence River and in the winter I am a web analyst for the same company.
