I am originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I made the decision to come live in the Dominican Republic more than 3 years ago. I sold everything and followed my instincts and my partner. I opened a small 2-room hostel for foreign travelers and I also have a small shop selling second-hand and new clothes. I love my life in the Caribbean and I live much calmer than I have ever been!! No more snowstorms and endless cold winters!!
