Hi my name Phil I am married to a beautiful Hungarian lady named Ildiko, we have been happily married for over 29yrs and live in Kecskemet. I originally came here to carry out an installation of 9 gas compressors for Varosfold and Leninvaros, it was to be for a period of 2 yrs, that was 32yrs ago. I met my wife and we have lived here ever since, I have to admit my Knowledge of the Hungarian language is still after all this time very poor. No excuses, I have for many yrs worked on a 28/28 rotation which is really the main reason why I have not progressed with the local language, I am happy to say though, my wife speaks and writes perfect English now, not being Chauvinist just I believe a little lazy, I work with British and the need for the language is really negligible however I do try my hardest to learn & speak when I have my 28 vacations here. I love Hungary 7 its people which is why my wife thankfully convinced me to stay. She is Fantastic & what a speciality cake maker for all occasions.
