Step Father is from Kumasi. The Agyako-Wiredu family have long spoke to me of Opportunities in IT throughout Ghana as well as west african. I'd like to find an IT job and start building a community Internet Cafe. Working in the field of developing and mentoring individuals who don't have access to enterprise class hardware and know-how. I am currently in the processes of building the Infrastructure for a Unix/Linux Knowledge Portal. House on Enterrpise Class hardware I own. This will be my design matrix allowing users to log in to work with bash shell http all the way up to Unix Networking and HaDoop Big Data clusters and Android developement.
Currently I am a System Engineer Level IV / Arcitecture Management with the largest Housing Financier in the US.
Since I was a child, prior to my mother marrying the good man from Kumasi that she did, always felt a pull to west africa. Reading in the Library, the people I've met from the Region. GRowing up listing to the stories my Step pop would tell. How his father was responsible for the distribution of goods and services throught out Ghana as a Gov't Official.
I don't like the fact that more Black Americans, African Americans whatever you want to call it I don't really. How so many ignore AFrica as a birthright leaving it to fend for itself unless it's Oprah trying to make herself look better. The Jewel of the Atlantic Ocean that is Africa will be key to future of this planet. I'd like to be there to witness it.
