Lives in Chiang Mai

About

I come from Montreal. Lawyer and former industrialist, I retired 3 years ago. I was given the opportunity to live 3 years in France: at Porte de St-Cloud and in Provence. To summarize, I have traveled 2 continents except Asia...of Africa I only know the Maghreb. I have been living in Chiang Mai for 1 month, which won me over last year. Very happy with the condo I occupy. Roughly organized, I move on to serious things: the people and the country. In the business course I always fell back on French Unions around the world. I'm more of a mountain man. Chiang Mai therefore corresponds. And then there is this incessant activity, the colors, an electrifying air and the Thais. Without falling into naivety, I believe that they are an endearing people. A country is above all its people. I had the same feeling in Cuba where I stayed on business. My only French contact to date is Chez Marco. I would like to contact French people to exchange experiences, impressions and have a laugh if possible. I emphasize that I am absolutely not inclined towards Thai women. I am not here for that reason. Long live Westerners...especially French-speaking ones. I intend to learn a little Thai...without any illusions about my ability to learn. My 4 Western languages have probably filled my intellect...will Thai enter it? But you, brave experienced expatriates, can pass on your wisdom to me - I will be grateful.
