I am an American, male, Caucasian, age 71. I have been in Ghana, West Africa now for the past 5 years. I want to retire to Panama, in late 2014 or the spring of 2015. I have checked all I can on the internet about the cost of living, rent, food, etc. but do not know how correct or up to date the information is. I will be living on 1700USD pension each month. I would like a real opinion if this is enough and how well my living standard will be with the amount. I would appreciate some suggestions on where to live and how I could make arrangements for someone to assist me in finding a place to live and to help me get settled. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
