My husband and I have been living in Lanzarote for 9 months. We bought a house in a quiet neighborhood. The island is wonderful, but from a cultural, theater, cinema and exhibition point of view, we miss it. We visited LaPalma, but it is colder in winter, it seems to me that Tenerife is the most interesting for pensioners, the island has a splendid collection of towns and nice restaurant culture, older people go for walks. In the parks and streets, beautiful shops, beautiful atmosphere and beautiful climate, the South is preferable, the north more humid, like Lanzarote the South is 2 to 3 degrees warmer than in the north although the island is small. Here is some information, for the climate it is so pleasant, no more winter clothing, no heating, morning and evening we take our meals in our garden.
