My expat journey

newfoundland, Canada
my life got turn around there.
school was find, but never got any free time.
was work and school.8:30-3:30school,3:30-7:00 work.
everything that a restaurant need. from front waiter to kitchen cooking.
???
big snow storm,so big that everything get close down, no need to work.
taught me to save up.everyone for themselves.[if that is true, life lost it meaning;at least i hope not.]
is cold, really cold, almost never sweat.hit 0- at night less then month though the year.
i learn the feeling that call"colder then ice".
i learn how sweet people speaks when they lie.
i learn friend is better then family.[other then mom and dad, i m not sure myself]
there they taught me money was everything.
learn never work for family, once u talk about money the feelings change.
i met the most pathetic man there, can't even pay up to a $20 bet, when he go to slot machine every Friday.[more then once]
got friends but almost never able to go out.can count the number of time with my fingers the toes.
got in trip with school's team, they call me try to slack off.
there i can't even can them family anymore.[that is how i think]after a while less then 10 sentence day to them.speechless now with family.[other then:"'yes' and 'no'".]
i didn't like myself, i just give a smile when people speak, i feel fake myself.
i lost my lunch and lunch time.
think i have seen the image of being chain.

Guangdong, China
student
don't really know, childhood memories was nice there.life style seen less intense.
i like my friend better then family, they brought a drink for me during a field trip, when family give me a dollar for the whole trip.
got lots friends, but only 3 true friends.everyone out family treat me better.[at least that is how i see it when i was a kid.]
love new year, get so much money, but can't even spend 10% of it.
first time people remember my birthday.
keep getting told not good enough.
hate my family try to bet with me.
envy all my friend when we go on school trips.
hated the way my family speak, never good enough. got a 76 in a test once, they would just never shut up.got a 98, still not good enough.
got a 100, they say keep it there don't let it drop.
can't never choose what i like, other then shoes.
the present turn out to be a bad joke, 2 can of fish.[ i m serious, not a joke]
