I arrived in Samana in July 2009 with my sailboat. I have lived there since that date. And in the city of Samana, not LT. I am a permanent resident, current Dominican nationality, married to a Dominican woman. Before living here, I lived in Saint Martin, in Guyana, in Madagascar, in Reunion, in Senegal and in Algeria. I like life in Samana, in summary I would say that I get much less angry when faced with situations that seemed difficult to bear to me. I I often read this forum but I have only participated in it a little to date. I chose Samana and Samana Bay after visiting the entire Dominican Republic. For what ? Tranquility, few foreigners, not too much delinquency, the magical bay and good shelter for my sailboat, very targeted tourism in time and space: cruceros, whales, cayo levantado, los haitises and the bay of san Lorenzo. I forgot.. The almost permanent light, the water in abundance, Samana, it's green.. My other favorite places to rep dom... Rio san juan, cabrera, I also liked Punta rucia and montecristi. In general and in relation to the themes developed on this forum, I completed my formalities on time and without ever going through a lawyer, I passed my Dominican driving license, I love life here.. even with all its sometimes unbearable sides, today I live, speak, think and dream in Spanish, I did not buy a house to make an investment, but to live there with family, yes delinquency has increased on these 5 years, but in Samana, it remains manageable.
