Hello French and French-speaking friends, My name is 痴补濒茅谤颈别, I am 34 years old and I have been married to Patrice 36 for 4 years now (11 years together). We currently live near Paris and have been looking for some time now for the ideal place to settle down and start a new chapter in our lives. After several reconnaissance trips to different cities around the world, notably Brussels, London, Barcelona, Miami, New York and Montreal, we have just returned from Vancouver which was a real revelation for us... We fell under the spell of this incredible city with its cultural richness and natural diversity. We were so won over that the other options became very dull near Vancouver. We are therefore very seriously considering moving there within a year. I am therefore asking you, you French-Vancouverians, to enlighten me with your experience and help me prepare for this change of life in the best conditions. Everything you are able to tell me and which seems relevant to you regarding this installation will be received with great gratitude (French and Canadian formalities, legal prerequisites, immigration procedure, banking, tax and financial formalities, procedures for obtaining the right to work, labor market situation, etc.) Finally, I also want to start building relationships with the French community in Vancouver to make friends that we will happily meet during our next stay (probably at the beginning of February because we want to experience the atmosphere that reigns in this city in winter) There you go, I will answer all the questions you ask me to get to know us better and I sincerely hope that my joining this community is the beginning of a beautiful story that will be written.
