About

I'm looking at places less soiled by capitalism of the worst sort to spread my spiritual wings and settle. Favorite places of interest to relocate and immigrate too, are New Zealand, Finland and the Republic of Georgia.
Interests: hiking, biking, camping, , reading, th茅芒tre, outdoors, writing, ballet

My expat journey

Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland, New Zealand

I was there for a meager but amazing 10 days. Saw Manakau and Auckland
At the time, I was a housekeeper from Kapaa, Hawaii (Kauai - best island in Hawaii!) on a healing vacation.
directness of people, cleanliness of area, internationalism, meat pies and interesting table relish. The botanical gardens in Manakua (adore), Auckland Museum, quant Irishy/Maori fusion thingy...beautiful everywhere! Fresh lamb/mutton (my fav!) and dairy products, yum!
Being told how to build a proper hamburger by a foreigner (like me) at a Burger King! Nearly being run over several times while crossing the street because they drive on the left and I'm trained for the right!

Pretty poor living without steady work. The locals are largely from other places in the lower 48 states of the US

I like the weather! And the environment is pretty casual.
Without steady employment and a means to pay your bills, the living is horrific.

Hawaii, USA

Jun 2012 - Sept 2012

Hawaii, USA

Writer, Islamic learning brought me there
writer, brief sting as a "business office specialist" (aka as bully tolerator and glorifed file clerk - I did not sign up for this!)
Honolulu has cultural exhibits and learning for those interested in polynesian culture. Asian fusion cuisine is awesome!
You get zero respect if you lack money in this part of Hawaii, overcrowded, the foreign workers from the Philipines and Mexico are highly competitive with the few job positions - no holds barred!

Hawaii, USA

May 2006 - Jan 2012

Lived in Kauai for 5 years, a brief travel period, family related at intervals...
Writer, wage"slave"
Loving family type of environment, perfect weather, easy to work, play and live happily, food delicious. In a word - paradise!
Having to leave. Cruddy attitudes that move there (they never last more than a year usually!)lack of Islamic learning facilities/mosque/masjid.

Seattle, USA

Jan 1975 - Jan 1998

Seattle, USA

I'm a native of Washington State, being originally from Seattle and Tacoma. Brief intervals of living elsewhere for family, school and work reasons.
I was a student, single parent and administrative assistant at the time, active in the Jewish community.
I know the area well, lots of class and great cuisine. Plenty of beautifl living options.
People that don't appreciate our lifestyle and bring their cruddy living habits (i.e. gang related, welfare dependent, poorly educated/not interested in education, socially maladapted, immorral, etc...)with them when the relocate here.

Same here, I'm an adventurous Muslimah looking for greater Islamic learning and a lovely place to live, work and settle. The US is really not for me. Very dangerous and no access to much of the rest of the world (sorry, internet only just doesn't ... Read More
