About

Originally from Beauceronne, I have been in New Caledonia for 11 years after having "toured" quite a bit: Paris region, Germany, Provence... finally we came to settle here with our last two children, two stayed in "zoreillie". What I like here is the ethnic diversity - which bothers some people, but not me, I find it an extraordinary richness. I also appreciate the cool pace of life "don't worry" could be the country's motto, it's tense again if you can't bear to let go of your watch... but if you put the importance of time into perspective, what an advantage! I pass on the sun and the palm trees, for me it is incidental, human criteria are more important, everyone has their own quest and I respect those who come for that, but be careful we pay for this sun (the cost of living is very high). and above all, if you leave to escape something, know that you take your problems with you... I believe that you must choose to leave for the better, not to avoid the worst. otherwise I say 鈥渁untie鈥 (hello.

le mont-dore, New Caledonia

long live retirement... active!
foster family for almost ten years for children in difficulty in the Southern Province. but at 57 years old... I stop, with regret but we must give way to younger people. Currently I deliver newspapers and other leaflets, free publications etc... and I therefore do a complete tour of New Caledonia every week: it's always the same tour and it's different each time! a real happiness, long live the smile and the human warmth of the people of the North!
the pace of life... or rather the sweetness of life even if we work a lot here, much more than in mainland France. the richness of ethnic diversity
the relationships that seem to be strained between different communities when we have so much to learn from each other the cost of living
