My expat journey

Paris, France
Lived the rad life of an exchange student at SciencesPo a couple years ago, fell in love and now back in Paris since the end of my studies
Blogging and waitressing to save up before my IO internship in Asia this September.
The electro scene- I've never seen something so crazy in North America. Also the people, the charm is undeniable once you get past the horrible first impression that the French give off. It impressed me and others so much that I wrote a guide on Hooking up with the World.

The prices- as a North American student with a debt, it is hard to truly enjoy this city without knowing some locals or long time expats to steer you away from the tourist traps. I wrote a restaurant and clubbing guide to help surmount that barrier. Also the beauty of it is also is downside. It can feel so cold and 2 dimensional, and many foreigners in Paris make the mistake of thinking that that beauty is the only thing that this city has to offer.

Toronto, Canada
Studied international relations at Trinity, University of Toronto. Grew up there and couldn't wait to get out.

You have the whole world in one city. It makes culture shock much harder. The food is the best I've had in the world and it has the diversity of a large city but feels like a small town when you know the neighbourhoods. Lastly, it's just so damn affordable. You can read my rantings about why Toronto is the Yummiest Place on Earth here: http://lilfelrockstheworld.blogspot.com/2010/03/canadian-identity-and-why-toronto-is.html
It's hard to place exactly but it lacks the energy and excitement that you feel in Europe and Asia.
