We're just getting settled in as of this writing. We found our place to live and three days later the kids were in school. My wife has many talents & her culinary skill got her a job nearby. I'm still looking as I make my way in the music communities. So far the experience has been very positive!
Bridget : health care provider / chef / sales associate
Dave : musician / arranger / producer
Finn : firecracker 1
Nola : firecracker 2
Being up close to living history.
The forwardness and curiosity of the people I've met.
The scenery & natural beauty.
The world class musicians and traditions.
A slower pace.
Not apparent that music outside traditional Irish music (not my strength) has a lot of support.
The slower pace (sometimes you wonder if your messages will be answered).
The sideways rain can be a challenge.
Feeling like an outsider (I migrated, what would I expect?)
