My name is Andr茅e and I am originally from Normandy and I have always lived in the Paris suburbs. I am a young retiree and with my husband already retired for 3 years, we decided to leave France for Portugal. We were hesitating between Morocco and Portugal and for reasons of comfort, tranquility and security we chose the Lusitanian lands with customs and a way of life quite similar to ours. We chose the north of Portugal although we initially wanted to go to Lisbon because our "assistant" was from there and he made us fall in love with this region by showing us around. We are in Viana do Castelo, it is about 40 minutes from Porto because in our criteria the proximity of an airport was essential. This town is by the sea, there is a hospital and a shopping center. Tourist sites and monuments telling the history of this fabulous country. In conclusion, we do not regret being here, we are fulfilled and financially successful. In addition, our children are 2 hours away from us and visit us regularly.
