Quito, Ecuador

Residing in the city of Quito, having personal security for my family, establishing a modest business, personal and professional improvement.
Establish a small computer equipment technical service business, or continue practicing my profession as a Computer Systems Developer.
I visited the city of Quito, the towns of Cotacachi and Otavalo, on a family trip in the months of July and August 2014, we were able to appreciate the feeling of personal security, good treatment from the people, a pleasant climate for us, the architecture of the old and modern area of the city, its gastronomy, tourist sites. We moved by public transportation (Taxis and Trolleybus), taking into account the security measures that were indicated to us in the Hostel where we stayed and the recommendations of the people with whom we talked on the street.

I have not been able to fulfill my projects, due to the increase in Xenophobia in Ecuador, they deny us the opportunity for employment, to encourage the departure of Venezuelans from the country. Discrimination, having already lived in the country for more than a year, we are evaluating migrating again to another country where they will give us more opportunities. Chile, Argentina, Peru.
Employment is difficult here in Ecuador, at least in Quito. Only informal jobs, with a minimum income, even more complicated since the xenophobic events that happened in the city of Ibarra in January 2019 (Persecution, Harassment, threats, burning of belongings to Venezuelan families residing in that city.) many people, businesses, do not want to employ Venezuelans to encourage their departure from Ecuador. Many employers usually hire foreigners, and then do not pay for their services in full or only make partial payments. They make you work for a month and then they don't pay your salary, they take it as something natural.
The cold climate of Quito. Free medical care (Pichincha Mission), The help that RET International gives to migrants.
Excessive xenophobia, Discrimination, the government does not provide the opportunity for temporary residence, as in other southern countries it only does so through a visa (approximate cost, more likely 300 dollars per person), an amount that is a little difficult to cover upon arrival, especially if it is a family. Already in the capital there is a lot of insecurity, robberies, harassment, kidnappings.
