My expat journey

Grecia, Alajuela, Costa Rica
I own and operate La Terraza Guest House in Grecia, Costa Rica. Some projects I'm involved in are helping Expats connect socially, culturally and legally with local Expats and community locals. I also help those with real estate in my area. My number one projects are helping my guest enjoy not only Grecia but whatever and where ever they would like to do and see in Costa Rica and the surrounding countries. Also donating to specific causes and charities in my local area.
Jeanetta Owens, Owner and Inn Keeper has been in the hospitality, sales and customer service industry for over 20 years. Jeanetta has an extensive international background that helps to make you feel at home no matter where you are from. Jeanetta takes great pride in providing superior service and her ability to connect the business traveler and typical vacationer with their every need while staying at La Terraza. Jeanetta also has a great sense of what it takes to serve her guest with a high degree of refinement and skill
My income allows me to pay for services that I could not pay for in the US and also gives me a recognizable place in the community as a good very employer and supporter of many charities. It also helps me to build bridges of communication/education between the expats, tourist and the local peoples. It's a huge blessing living here in many ways compared to some other places in Costa Rica. Grecia offers a very tight knit community where you will not find yourself alone for long if that's what you like. The best part is unlike some of CR hot coastal towns the weather in Grecia is moderate and comparable to San Diego, CA. Grecia is known as the cleanest city and has the best water.
Some of the simple items that we enjoy in the US are very expensive here such as cheeses, chips, etc. Also electronic goods are pretty high in cost but overall the quality of life is splendid.
