About

My name is Vanesa, I am 22 and come from Slovenia. Beginning of April I will be moving to Malta and intend to stay the whole summer. I like Malta and if I get employed I could extend my stay also for a longer time. I study law, and I am 2 years away from LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws). It is agreed with the university that I do not need to be present in the classes and I need just 2-3 weeks a year to fly back to make the exams. As all the lessons will be available video online all the time. ME AND MALTA: In the past I was traveling quite a lot, cause I enjoy learning about other countries, and meeting new people. Right now I am moving to Malta, hope it's for a longer period of time. I was in Malta on a short vacations with my friends, and even though we were there in February (it was sooooo windy and cold :D) I really liked it. At first I was thinking to go back on vacations in summer and rent an apartment for one month... But the more I was checking on the internet the more I liked the idea to move to Malta. So I decided to come to Malta in April, and stay at least till October, preferably even longer- but that depends entirely on getting employed. As I don't have much info even about basic things (such as renting a flat there...), it will be a big jump into the unknown. :) ... And I would really appreciate getting some advises from people who already live there. IN MY FREE TIME: I do lots of sports (right now mainly swimming and yoga- it's winter ;) ).. I ski, play volleyball in the warmer months, pilates, I used to play tennis (but haven't done that in years)... I am planning to make a diving certification in the near future, and later in life also sailing boat licence. :)... bake, cook, dine... ME AND LANGUAGES: I speak English and Slovene- I use both constantly.. also I can speak Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian (but I am not a specialist- so don't get offended if I mix up a word or two :D).. and I am able to communicate in Spanish (understanding is great, it's when I have to explain something then I miss a few words :D)... Italian and German- yes I know how to say Hi, and introduce myself..and a few basic sentences but it ends here :D (maybe same with Russian or even less :D)--hope I will take time in near future and improve that.
Interests: swimming, dining, ice wine, baking, volleyball, sports, diving, tennis, yoga, cooking, pilates

Might be the case that the ''employer'' simply wanted a tax deduction or other benefits from offering an employment to a foreigner.. Happened to me that they ''employed'' (working without a contract, saying they will ... Read More
