Hello! My name is Susana and I live in Portugal. My name is Susana Garrett Pinto, I'm 36 and I'm Portuguese. Since I remember, I love to work as a volunteer helping disadvantaged people, especially children. I?ve been in India twice, as a volunteer, and on March 2015 I went to Cambodia for the same reason. Once there, doing volunteer work in a small community, I realized that the way I was helping it would never change their lives. The fact is that when I come back to Portugal again, all those people would continue to live in a situation of extreme poverty. At that point, I decided to create Teach How to Fish volunteers project. Our main ambition, for now, is to help to create better living conditions for children, and their families, and we started at Chen Raom village, a small village in Siem Riep, helping 106 children and 10 families. Earlier this year, in January, I stayed 2 weeks in the village and started the project: improvement of school infrastructure, survey the wills and needs of the families, the local guidelines, and now we already have the project new version with some new goals.
