My husband, who is Swiss, live in Tasmania,the Island off Australia.We met in Africa and are well travelled. Now in our 70 th year, I will retire. and plan to live outside Australia We love the Cook Islands, but it has Australian prices.So we are looking for a place like Rarotonga but with Asian prices.Malaya is our first country of research. we are here for 6 weeks..looking. Ipoh, lovely but not the life style for Islanders, like ourselves. Penang, is a mini Singapore in the making.Good for shopping, old city experience a 5 day stop would do.Cannot swim in the sea too polluted. Now we are on Langkawi, love the beaches, mountains. Hope on a plane to K.L for threatre, shopping.etc. thus will move here formally in August.Will have the MM2H visa approval by then..So its Langkawi till proven otherwise.
