I am british but lived in canada for many years. I returned to the uk in 1998 but an now looking to move to an even more self sufficient way of life. As a child we spent many, many holidays in the former yugoslavia and maybe this is the reason I am so keen to try living in bulgaria. OK the prices are also a major factor! I would say for those who complain about 'primitive facilities' and pothole, dirt roads etc should realise that a good part of rural ontario (and probably the other provinces. is not so much different.
