Jakarta, Jakarta Raya, Indonesia
The food Sate, mie gorang, nasi gorang. The exchange rate from dollar to rupee is good, everything in general is cheap, the hotel rent is a little high but like everywhere else... good mobile plan, the people are friendly but due to poverty they look for money by any means in some cases. It is not as they paint it in some articles, if you have friends there it is easier in a way because of the language but if you learn the language little by little it becomes easy.... and the language, everyday words are easy to learn. You can use your Banred card to pay in mini markets, if you want to withdraw money from ATMs, check first with your issuing bank since I tried but it didn't work for me at ATMs... the transfer from one place to another is very long, sometimes one to two hours... it depends on the place since the city is very big.
Eat with your right hand... and if they serve you a cup or glass of water it is to wash your hands.
If you are a man, try to greet without touching women and if you are a woman, try not to touch men. out of respect for the religion but it depends, the majority are Muslims but some are from other religions and have no problem with it.
a lot of pollution, men mostly smoke a lot even in closed places or with children...

Shantou, Guangdong, China
Shantou.- Nice place, you find everything, a lot of food on every corner, markets on every block, a lot of clothes...
It's safe people walking even at midnight...
They speak the Shantou Hua language but they also know Cantonese or Mandarin.... if you learn the basics it will be easy... like how much does it cost, thank you, help...
China.- the change of warm climate since it is very very hot if you are going to visit make sure it is not in this season...
There are a lot of people on the Chinese wall... so be careful when going up and down the huge steps of the wall...
Try to ask beforehand for a good tour company to the wall since some of them have been there and it doesn't even take 5 minutes that you're going up when they start calling you to come back because they're already leaving... so ask them about the time.
The bathrooms are pits in the floor like a hole that you have to insert so you have to get used to it, look for photos beforehand so you can get the idea. They are generally Eastern bathrooms, bring wet wipes, paper, water, disinfectant gel just in case... only few places have Western bathrooms.
If you go to the great ambassador's palace, do it in advance since you won't be able to see everything in one day...

Guangdong, China
In Guangdong you must be careful at the bus terminal since there are many people who say they want to help you with your suitcases but some are thieves who take your suitcase with everything... On the bus they give you a snack and water or juice.
