Hi I am danielle Sterfn, I was born in South West Africa. Windhoek(Namibia) I enjoyed a wonderful life in Windhoek. I was a nature child loved to swim and look at little creatures , watch the most amazing sunsets and sunrises, moonrises and moonset...wonder around in the bush with friends and make fires for Braaivleis..I was Always creative and loved walking around the garden with our garden man, or on my own, investigating...at school I wasent so great, and most of my school life i felt stupid...now i know i have a form of dyslexia and dyscalculi, which helps. so excuse spelling faults ...I moved to Cape Town to do art in 1974 1975 but then the angolan war broke out and I was called to nursing which i choose to do in East London SA . I did a Staff Nurse training and continued to do a student nurse training passed and recieved my diploma as a Registered Nurse. I then did Midwifery in Cape Town at Mowbray Maternity home and after recieving my REgistration I worked for awhile and then finally followed my heart to travel in Europe in 1983. In 1984 I met the father of my children who is dutch and so I came to live in Holland as it wasent possible for him to come and work in Southern Africa. I remained in the Netherlands even after we parted in 1978 so that the children two daughters could be close to their Dad. I Always missed Namibia. Always felt I still needed to do something there. I reschooled in the Netherlands into alternative medicine and had my own pratice for healing baths and massages. Also continued doing art and reschooled again to do art therapy courses for children also to be used for adults. in 2010 I moved to the SW coast of France to be close to a boyfriend. this dident work out as planned but i remained there and have leant an amazing amount of deep inner knowledge which has given me the faith to return to Namibia as soon as I have sold my Chalet on a Naturist campsite, and rounded up 3oyrs of The Netherlands. It will be difficult leaving and returning to a country which has under gone many changes. As a teenager I walked everywhere and was never afraid. Doors where left open and windows. On my return to windhoek over the years...I have seen high walls, alarm systems barbed wire and many other sad things which have taken place in the time I have been away. I Have 3 gifts that i am passionate about and hope to share. Caring for the termanily ill, Permacutures...living in a community, creativity my own and helping others, young and old.
