About

I'll be 50 in a few years. I was born uk but grew up in Zimbabwe. Now considering moving away from London, possibly to the Seychelles... I've been running a domestic cleaning company in London since the early 90's. I'm also a DJ, musician & producer. I ran a record label for a time during the dance music explosion of the 90's. In recent years the cleaning company has taken a back seat to an internet records shop I run with a friend. For the first time, my income is no longer reliant on my residence in London so I'm looking for a cheaper place to live to lower my overheads. Seychelles appears to be as much as half as pricey as living in London. I have an interest in Seychelles because of it's African connections & because I enjoyed a trip to Mauritius a few years ago & have been meaning to return the region for some time. I am plannng a 3 or 4 week trip with my girlfriend to visit Mahe in early 2016 for at least 3 weeks. While I'm there I intend to run my internet business as if I were resident on Mahe & if everything goes smoothyl I'll need regular internet communications & a reliable mail service. At some point I'd hope to spend a 3 month stretch on the island & this is going to mean finding a proper house or someplace cheaper than tourist accommodation. My girlfriend of 8 years is knee deep in a music PHD & in a couple of years she'll be a doctor of music. So we're thinking in about two years, if we're going to make a permanent move, it'll be then. We both have a great deal of musical equipment, experience & talent (lol). Okay, she's talented! As any producer, I'm more of a jack of all musical trades. We're thinking about setting up a recording studio, or involving ourselves somehow in the local music scene. If anyone reading this would like to help educate me about Seychellois music scene, nite-life etc I'd be very grateful, & very interested. The music in Mauritius was awesome, sort of a blend of Carribean, African & Jamaican music... I'd be good at producing dance remixes of local music & my girlfriend would make an excellent session musician. Anyone else who for any reason would like a pal from London or needs any info on life in London, don't hesitate to ask me, I'll help if I can :)
