Hi....we have been here a week now.
Beautiful place.....have fallen in love!
Looking for a home, exploring which neighbourhood's do I want to Live in???
I am a highly qualified/ apprentice trained hairdresser.
I have 20 years in training & education.
I currently work with and along side the best of the best in the hairdressing industry.
I have experience with session styling for fashion parades with fashion week (s) here in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide just to mention a few. I also have worked closely with some of the finest photographers around. I am good at what I do because I enjoy doing it.
Working freelance.
Very friendly locals, extremely good service.
The cold shock!
Still waiting for my dog to arrive.

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
I moved to Sydney from Melbourne, after living between both cities for several years.
I owned my own hairdressing salon in Melbourne, for 18 years.
My partner moved to Sydney for work in 2011.
I wanted to sell my business before moving permanently to join him.
I loved living in Melbourne it is such a liveable city. So multi cultural. Great food & fashion.
I moved to Melbourne from Adelaide in the early 90's.
Sydney is a beautiful harbour city with a warm, consistent climate. The humidity takes a bit of getting used to, as do the birds, at times they can be extremely noisy.
There are many, many beautiful beaches to take advantage of and the life style is relaxed, you can not compare the cities in Australia, they are all so very different.
When I first moved to Sydney I knew I had a challenge ahead of me, as I owned my own business for so many years.
If I was to work on the salon floor, it had to be with the best salons Sydney had.
I worked with Brad Ngata at Crown Street, Surry Hills and the Ivy CBD (multi award winning Hairdresser of the year) for a period of time, before taking on the role as 'National Education Director', with new company to Australia, Fuente.
I am currently working back on the salon floor, with 'Scott Sloan' and his team at Sloans in Lane Cove. Amazing award winning, talented team. If it wasn't for my partners opportunity in the Netherlands, I would definitely continue on with the team at Sloans. Many wonderful opportunities await them.
I am certain that the next chapter of my career will be exciting.
Thankfully English is spoken through out Europe but I will defiantly learn Dutch, as I will want to understand the local language.
Sydney is amazing, warm, relaxed and most people are extremely healthy, due to the climate.
Fantastic beaches.
Great life style.
Beautiful harbour, constantly evolving.
Love 'The Rocks' and 'Surry Hills' both great area's for funky little bars and good food.
I struggled with the humidity. (Frizzy hair constantly sweaty)
Very expensive city to live in.
The food was not only pricey but average, in most cafe and restaurants. (spoilt from Melbourne as they have so many great ones.) We did find a few good ones but they are so busy it can be hard to get a last minute booking.
The people are not as fashion dedicated either, again possibly due to the climate.
Hairdressing is so much more fun in Adelaide and Melbourne. Clients way more adventurous and unique.
Everyone wants to look similar in Sydney, very generic.
