American looking for information about Costa Rica

Speaks English but we are just beginning to learn Spanish.

Registration: 22 January 2016

we are from Fort Worth Texas and have just began a search for the perfect climate, less stressful environment and an affordable life style than what we have at home. Our kids are grown, we are self employed for 27 years and can work from any where we can get a quality internet signal. We are looking for a place we can fit in for a minimum 6 months a year or when we find the perfect spot maybe full time expat. We are just tired of the rat race and stress and cold winters and hot summers but not quite ready to retire. We are trying to learn Spanish but discovered when we arrived last week we know next to none. We are going to be here 3 more weeks and want to talk to people who have already traveled this path and hear their stories and listen to their advice

Interests: nature, woodwork, Crafting, cooking, Bird watching, snorkeling

Thanks Deb, We drove through some of that area and it was beautiful. Even though fairly close to Alajuela it felt distinctly cooler. We would love to see that area with someone that knows there way around. I am not sure how to message you privately ... Read More

Thanks Red Beard, we are in our mid fifties and perfect climate for us is 60 low to 75-80 degrees high. We are former divers and love the beach but just too hot and muggy for us to live there full time. I like the fact it is only about an hour away ... Read More
