My expat journey

Antananarivo, Analamanga, Madagascar

Bou茅ni, Mayotte
Advertising and documentary director. Free Lance
Owner of a wooden sailboat, start of my reunion with the world of sailing. Which was almost not possible in R茅union given its difficult environment in the Indian Ocean.
Another French destination, perfectly in line with my way of seeing life in general....global discovery of the entire Comorian and East African area by boat but also by plane to develop my Real freelance market.
I loved this relaxed side, the sea, the sun....and especially at that time the authenticity of the island, its lagoon, and the surrounding islands....Anjouan, Moh茅li, and the greater Comoros.
From the start, a sailboat seems essential when seeing these sites...my children loved Mayotte, I never took care of them like I did in Mayotte, I spent time almost every day with them, went into nature, went diving, fishing with them...and so many activities that we wouldn't have been able to do elsewhere.
We left Mayotte after 5 years of pure happiness, very quickly from 2004 we were confronted with this significant immigration, then the Mahorais-Comorian relations began to degenerate, which made our life more difficult, and less in accordance with what we thought of the cohabitation of peoples. Hard hard!!!

Interesting opportunities in my profession at the time, opening to the important Indian Ocean area.
I loved this relaxed side, the sea, the sun... then found my wife there, then had mixed children.
In about ten years a real change, too much access to French politics. Reunion Island is a little France...but far from everything, and should have kept more authenticity for my taste.
