My expat journey

Kleve, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
International Student of Engineering Technology Sciences.
University of Applied Sciences - Hochschule International Student.
It's clean and relatively safe. Low crime. Most everything is so green.
The weather is cold and grey skies. Continually so, indoors.

Bagamoyo, Pwani, Tanzania
Language & Culture of Swahili people continued independent study abroad.
Distance learning Student - of a U.S. Univ. & Private Tanzanian vocational training educational Institute.
Just about Everything! - The good fresh healthy diet, low stress way of living, beautiful dark brown skinned Swahili Muslim people. One of whom did marry me that time. Being back with the person who life showed me the living representation of a beautiful soul & beautiful person.
Malaria, the monsoonal rains & that water and electricity utilities are poor and intermittent. That people really are not all that different throughout the world. Not able to locate a company to get work for more permanent type of official permission to reside there with my new Tanzanian family.

Zanzibar, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
Graduate student. Continued study at Taasisi Institute of Swahili Language for Foreigners plus learning by living in the Swahili cultural customs.
Distance learning Student - of a U.S. Univ. & State Univ. of Zanzibar (SUZA), the parent educational institution of the Language Institute.

Malaria, that water and electricity utilities are poor and intermittent. That people really are not all that different throughout the world. Even on the island that looked like paradise.

Zanzibar, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
Summer graduate student. Study abroad at Taasisi Institute of Swahili Language for Foreigners
International Student - State Univ. of Zanzibar (SUZA), the parent educational institution of the Language Institute.
Just about Everything! - The good fresh healthy food diet, low stress way of living, beautiful dark brown skinned Swahili Muslim people. One of whom agreed to (and did) marry me. Not so much fuss hardly ever a fight.
Malaria, that water and electricity utilities are poor and intermittent. That I had to leave my long last finally found REAL Love after finding her.

Ontario, California, USA
Poor Graduate University Student.
Graduate Student of African Studies - James S. Coleman African Studies Center (JSC-ASC) at UCLA in West Los Angeles.
I guess I liked the illusion of freedom of choice & meeting so many different people from Africa there. That one Chinese restaurant on Santa Monica Boulevard just before Sepulveda served good rice noodles.
It is ridiculously expensive to live in California & since Hollywood is in So. CAL., so many people there are trying to be that which they are not.
