I have several years of experience with working on infrastructure projects in large organisations, both in government positions and in industry positions. I worked on extending the current server and storage facilities, extending datacenters and the relocation of datacenters. I also worked as Project Manager on distributing new applications in the companies I worked for in close coorporation with the business management and business users. I am used to working in projects with a scope, planning and budget, and reporting on it with regular meetings with the stakeholders. In the last 5,5 years I have worked for a Joint Venture of Shell in both Holland and Kazakhstan. In the first half of this time I have worked on creating the local IT organisation and to make it more professional, using the ITIL processes. Shell is working with external supppliers fort their IT, like AT&T for their networks, HP for their office IT and T-Systems for the larger systems (SAP, storage, datacenters). These companies work on a global basis so there were regular meetings with people from all around the world, like Malaysia, USA and several countries in Europe. During my projects I had to work in close cooporation with these companies in different timezones. One of my strenghts is that I can work closely with the different layers in a company, from managent to engineers and with different cultures.
