My expat journey

Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil
I want to grow old here. I may have been born in 1911 but I still feel young and still feel there still much for me to do. My heart is here, it's my spiritual home and when I can, I'd like to move with my family to Florianopolis.
One of my favourite songs by a group called "Steiner" perfectly depicts how I feel about this truly wonderful place...

"Homeward bound, homeward bound on a road Florianopolis way, homeward bound, homeward bound, 'tis the place in my heart I want to stay..."

Same as before
same old
Same again
No change there

Florian贸polis, Santa Catarina, Brazil
I travelled and volunteered, teaching english to underprivileged Brazilians. I saw many wonderful cities and met the most incredible people including my wife who (along with the country) I fell in love with!
The culture, the people, the beautiful places
Leaving it. That was the most depressing thing!

I did a number of things including working in a ware house, Music, Teaching and far more boring stuff that won't bore you with!
Most recent was working in a school as a behavioural management co ordinator in a School.
The Weather, the bread, the relative safety, the not having to fear being car jacked everything you go off somewhere, the roads that aren't riddled with potholes, paying for bills online, free education which is quite good, free healthcare.
The weather when it wasn't good, the cost food, cleaners and petrol!
