My wife and I visited a friend and we travelled from Sao Paulo to Recife in the North over the course of one month.
I loved the surf and beaches. Soooo many different kids of fruit you never get to have anywhere else but in Brazil. The people are so fun and loving!
You should be a cautious traveler, not over-dressing to attract atention and informed to the local problems.

Visited my sister who was serving as a full time volunteer and assisted in a construction project.
I loved the people and climate, very raw destination with many places still untouched and adventures to be had for all.
You have to be very careful about the water and even remember to not have ice cubes as these could cause sickness from a stomach not used to the water here.
