I retired here in 2006 aged 60 together with my wife, Jan who gives painting classes having spent her life teaching Art in Secondary Schools in UK.
I write the occasional blog about the village and enjoy exploring the local environment
Retired Special Needs Teacher
This is a tranquil Andalucian working village. Most of the locals work in Agriculture growing crops in greenhouses for the northern European market. We're never short of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, melons and the sea is only 10 minutes away. with the completion of the motorway Granada is only 1 hour away and Malaga and Almer铆a are also easily accessible. If you enjoy walking and the outdoor life and enjoy the company of people from different cultures and backgrounds, this is an ideal area far from the hustle and bustle of the Costas and with a taste of authentic Spain
