Like many of us, I came for a one year test and never left. I left a husband, but not the city I loved and have never regretted it, even though for the first 10 years I didn't have the right to work. This makes one very resourceful and creative and managed to survive and prosper by the sheer will of necessity. The tale has been told in my thrice-weekly publications: Parler Paris, Parler Nice and French Property Insider (http://www.adrianleeds.com) and will soon be out in the form of a memoir about my experience surviving French bureaucracy and building a real estate "empire." Join me for my monthly networking gatherings called "Parler Paris Apr猫s Midi" the second Tuesday of every month where there is always a guest speaker and lots of interesting Expats to meet (which you can find on our site under "Things to Do").
