About
I came to live in Shanghai because of a 3-year contract offer from a Chinese company in the restaurant field for my husband. When we arrived, despite the agreements signed and counter-changed, the company changed them at will, where the salary became half of what was contractual, the housing was barely minimal and the responsibilities to be carried out were Italian food, pretending to cook Chinese menus??? Many Chinese companies, as I have been learning, change agreements according to their needs and whims without caring about the needs of the foreigners hired, much less the minimum human rights, as they are accustomed to. I invite you to take many precautions in this regard and not be naive, to seek legal advice first to assert your own rights in case of omissions of this kind. The customs of this country are totally different from the Western or American world. I have been living in Shanghai for 6 months, forced to live in this city, fired by the Chinese company, for not agreeing with its dictatorial provisions, without work and without a specific law that defends the commercial rights of foreigners, and forced to live because I cannot "change" or "play" with the education of my son, who already came with a precise year of attending an international school, due to the supposed and serious contract offered by the responsible Chinese company. BEWARE!!!!In this Chinese world there are many ambiguities.
