About

55068km in the air between U.S. and Europe, 576 hours spend in a work car last year, 6 different companies, two different degrees, hundreds different people, millions cups of coffee, three different continents, four different work fields, almost nine years. No, this is not the streamlined review of the recent People magazine. It is the past nine years of my personal and professional life. While I am originally from Lithuania, I obtained my higher education in the U.S. I hold a Masters Degree in Student Affairs in the Higher Education (2014), and a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Communication (2012) from the Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. During my masters degree I focused a lot on student development theory, public relations, event planning, create and maintain organizational missions, human resource, student interaction with new technology and most importantly how communication socializes and supports students and their teachers. My experience in organizing events of various scale, complexity, and purpose comes from my internship (later on i was hired as a staff member) at the Nutter Center Administrative Office were people are in charge of the different scales of events in a multi-purpose arena which seats about 11500 people. Working for this organization has allowed me to take on a number of different roles every day, if not every hour. As an event planner I participated in planning and hosting events such as business seminars, weddings, and also, large scale events such as Kesha, Luke Brian, Jason Aldean, Mac Miller concerts, Jeff Dunham, WWE, Science Olympiad National Tournament, Winter Guard International, The Harlem Globetrotters and other big events. I worked in the environment where initial plans changed often and were I had a lot of needs for quick reaction. My daily responsibilities included meeting clients prior to the event, reserving the meeting rooms, determining catering needs and preparing conference materials, communicating with members, assisting with tracking the expenditures and revenues of our organization, collecting fees and maintaining necessary records. During my Masters Degree, I was employed as a Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation at the WSU. I was entirely responsible for Adapted Recreation special programs, outings, communication, campaigns, new projects, marketing, class/team building activities and different fitness programs, mainly for students with disabilities which taught me how to grab peoples attention face to face as well as online and get my point straight across. This position showed me how much I love planning and managing activities as well as organizing communication campaigns. Me being a great organizer and carried out my responsibilities to the extent after a few months in this position my supervisor entrusted me completely with this program as well as hiring, training and supervising new staff. Currently I work at Karalius Mindaugas Vocational Training Center (later Center) in Kaunas, Lithuania. I am international relations coordinator. My main responsibilities are to create, build and maintain relationships with variety kind of international partners and donors, both foreign and domestic, establish and follow Center international strategic plan, represent Center in different spectrum of international events, manage and coordinate of advancement related international events, maintain relationship with our existing international partners, create, develope and manage content for Center English version of web-site, participate in different Erasmus+ and NordPlus project mobilities and seminars, as well as develope and maintaine a detailed strategic partnership projects around the globe. Right now, I am working on the project together with Jesuit Worldwide learning organization to establish global e-learning on vocational training track. Center together with JWL are establishing different vocational programs which will be offer online to the people from margins. This project going to be the first e-learning project in Lithuania. Center going to be a first higher education institution in Lithuania which going to offer their programs not only on campus but online as well. Even more, these programs online going to be the first programs in this country offered in English language around the world. I really enjoy working internationally, learning about different cultures, challenging myself in a new projects as well as having a lot of creativity at my work. While my experiences are electicthey all boil down to one task: build a new internaitonal relationships and establish a new projects. That is because i love working both individually as well as in the team setting. My four years of experience of being an international student athlete (a member and a record holder of WSU Swimming and Diving Team) taught me that strong work ethic, dependability and responsibility are three main qualities in the team environment. I have been frequently commended for my quick reactions and efficiency in handling assigned tasks and unexpected situations. Last but not least, my cross-cultural competency is supported by multilingual language skills.
Interests: study abroad, internaitonal relations, event planing, project manager, carrer planing, I am interested in working in higher education
