I am from Quebec and for more than 16 years I have been living in Santiago in the Dominican Republic. I had already had before, in 1993-94 a Pub in Sosua, then in Las Terrenas but for family obligations I returned to Quebec, on the other hand without ever losing sight of my possible return this time, definitive. My work experiences were diverse and most interesting; General Director for 3 years in a clothing factory with more than 800 employees, owner of a Language Institute, mainly English with more than 550 students, restaurateur, political coordinator and for 3 years I have been working to set up my business Clevastar International with two distinct divisions; adventure and humanitarian travel and a call center including a real estate agency, a survey institute as well as an advisory service office (lawyers and managers) to support those like me who have decided to transform their dream into reality. I quickly understood that to be successful here you had to have a solid network of contacts and make the necessary adjustments to feel well integrated into everyday life here in the DR. I am lucky to be accompanied by my partner who, like me, understood that business opportunities are numerous here and that local people very often no longer see them and tourists do not see them. Finally, I never regret my decision even if I sometimes miss certain things and certain people. So we look forward to communicating with you and possibly meeting you soon.
