We enjoy the small town beach life of Progreso. We have met some good local people as well as some Canadian and American Expats.
I am still working my US software job out of my house in Mexico.
We like Progreso because its a small town and on the coast. We also like being close to Merida.
Our only complaint so far is the amount of sea weed that collects on the beaches.

We brought our car from the US and just paid TIP. We use Uber all the time in Merida and Progreso when we have been drinking. Lots of trips from Progreso to Merida and back with Uber. No issues. Read More
