My expat journey

Birmingham, England
Walking the published and sign-posted public footpaths, camping in the country-side on the cheap, living without a lot of electricity $7.50 a day. It is truly the simple life - every summer, from April thru Sept. for the last 9 years. Campers are friendly and happy for the most part and are curious about people from another country. I love my camping friends there.

All villages are connected by public buses. Thousands of miles of public foot-paths. cool weather in the summertime. Everyone speaks English. Every village has 2-8 thrift shops (call them charity shops). Thousands, yes thousands, of camp grounds.
Everything is a little more expensive because of the dollar/pound exchange. It isn't their faul, so don't take it personally.
