I have been a nurse for 1 and a half years in Toulouse, France and I am in a relationship (we are getting married in spring 2018). My boyfriend is a maintenance technician. We have a French friend who moved to San Antonio (Texas) for 2 years thanks to his business and who is now married to a Texan. We would like to join them to experience life there. In fact, we have already come to the United States twice (New York and Texas) and we would very much like to live for a few years (at least) there. I inquired about the possibility of working there as a nurse. I need to contact the organization that is responsible for registering state nurses and then take an equivalence exam (N-CLEX). My friend has not yet taken any action... To optimize our chances, we registered for the green card lottery and are awaiting the results which will arrive in May 2017. We are well aware of the difficulty of expatriating... especially since we are not at all bilingual... But we stay motivated!!!! Please help us!!!!! :-) We can't get enough of life in France :-)
