About

I live in France (Alsace). My partner is Thai and lives in Germany, but we see each other regularly. In February, she suggested that we take a trip to Thailand, to get to know her family, and to do so while respecting tradition. And it went very well. And secondly, to get an idea of where she lives and whether I would like it. Since I had already lived in Asia for 3 years, I had no trouble adapting. So I suggested we move there. I will be 48 years old in July and my partner will be 43 years old. Our wish would be to leave at the end of July 2017, and we have no doubts about our choice. We would also like to get married in Thailand. Initially I would look for a job in Thailand, knowing that the idea was to continue the activity of his father (who unfortunately died). This activity is in the agricultural field. My partner and owner of a combine harvester, and she is in charge of harvesting rice for farmers in the canton through an employee who currently does this work. Since we would like to develop other activities, such as pig breeding (which we already started in February), we will need labor in any case. But we want to remain a small operation. And help other members of the family who do public works and carpentry. So, I am looking for answers to the questions we are asking ourselves: I would like to prepare our reconversion, like all people wishing to carry out their project. Which visa to apply for, should you inquire at the Thai embassy in Paris. Would it be better to go to Thailand and carry out all the procedures in Thailand? What are the good funds in which I can continue to pay so as not to lose what I have acquired regarding retirement and the social system or are there other means? I have already inquired, but all help is welcome. You just have to make a good choice. Hoping to be able to read you, receive our kindest thoughts.
