I am originally from Connecticut, but have lived all over the U.S. -- California, Washington state, New Jersey, Utah, Kansas, Minnesota and Rhode Island. I work as a Volunteer Coordinator for a hospice in Providence, RI. I have two daughters: One is almost 21 and halfway through her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Rhode Island. The other will be entering 9th grade in the fall. My husband, to whom I've been married for 24 years, is in the videogame business. If he accepts the job he's being recruited for, we would move to Hyderabad, probably this summer. I have a thousand questions, starting with: are we crazy to consider this? I have always wanted the opportunity to live abroad, and I'm pretty adventurous, but I don't know a single person in India and I'm sure it would be an enormous adjustment for all of us. I'm particularly concerned about my 14-year old daughter, who is nervous about the prospect of moving. I'd have to figure out housing, a school for her, pets -- everything.
