About

Although I am English by birth, I was raised in Zambia and educated in South Africa (School and University). I thereafter spent another 35 years in South Africa in a variety of different capacities. I worked in a Museum, in hospitals, and then moved into education as an administrator and manager of several different private tertiary colleges. Thereafter I moved into construction and was involved on a small scale in a variety of different projects. I also have an absolute passion about craft and upcycling. A particularly popular project which I developed has been making furniture and other useful items from 200 litre oil drums. I have developed 30-odd different lines. It has also been a useful medium for introducing skills development programmes in South Africa. More recently I moved to the UK to spend sometime with my children and their grandchildren who are all resident here. However, Africa is in my blood and I am looking at the possibility of relocating to Zanzibar sometime in the middle of 2018.
