So I'm from Rennes in France and for 20 years I've been dreaming of moving to Wales. It鈥檚 finally possible. My son is tall and is a police officer in Yvelines. I have been an executive assistant in a Grande Ecole for 20 years, managing a research laboratory of almost 100 people (teacher-researchers, engineers, doctoral students, interns, sabbaticals, etc.). I took unpaid leave and sold my house and I want to settle in Cardiff, which is a student city like Rennes. I will look for a rental either on Cathedral Road, Pontcana or Whitchurch. I want to visit the length and breadth of Wales (I love North Wales). I should arrive in April 2018 because I still have some procedures to do in France. I'm no longer old enough to arrive with just a suitcase and look for a youth hostel ;) I'm on FB and already subscribed to the Expat Focus and Les Anglais de Cardiff pages. I think I've done the trick.
