Former naval officer and trained engineer. Resident in Paraguay since 1980. I practiced a certain number of activities there: soybean cultivation, cattle breeding in Itap没a., production of yerba mate in my yerbatera in Asuncion, setting up a dairy, calculation of metal structures, construction of houses. I have always encountered a lot of kindness, competence and friendship from my Paraguayan colleagues and I take issue with the new arrivals who, to hide their inability to adapt in a new environment, spend their time spouting insulting nonsense against their host land and its inhabitants. Having created a tour operator in Europe at the same time, I was appointed representative of Senatur (Paraguayan State Secretariat for Tourism) for France and Belgium. And to return, very modestly, to Paraguay and the Paraguayans all the happiness they gave me by welcoming me so kindly to their beautiful country, I became interested in the sometimes dramatic history of this beautiful country before and after the pre-Columbian era and I wrote a guide to Paraguay, some works on the history of Paraguay, on the incredible epic of the Jesuit missions in Paraquaria (the Giant Province of India) and on the formidable culture of the Guarani people and their language whose zone of influence extended from northern Argentina to the Caribbean!
