My expat journey

Gjovik, Norway
Doing plenty of wedding planning, getting to know family and people in the community, and learning Norwegian.
Currently I am a student taking Norwegian Language courses.
I love being close to my fianc茅's large Norwegian family. It's also quite beautiful next to Lake Mj酶sa, and not too far of a drive into Oslo.
I would love to be in a bigger city or near the coast with more people and things to do.

Minnesota, USA
I grew up in a small family and loved my community.
I was a student at a University, with part-time jobs in business administration, hospitality, retail, and telephone fundraising over the course of my education.
The Midwestern charm, how outgoing and friendly people are, and the variation of big and small cities with lots to do and great restaurants to try.

That very well may be the case in terms of the type of education/degree you have, but it's worth checking into since it's higher than high school education. But I am glad to hear that the language course in Bergen seems like a good program and that ... Read More

Hi Static, I was in your situation not too long ago. I moved to Norway in October of '10 and was struggling with what kind of residency permit to apply for because of all the complications with understanding the system. Here's a question for you: ... Read More
