I have lived in Martinique for 15 years, my husband for 10 years, I am a civil servant (Ministry of the Interior) my husband is retired. I just got a transfer to Lifou, Loyalty Islands. I would like to share the experience of expats already established in New Caledonia concerning the different formalities and everyday life. Although already living in an overseas department, life in the Pacific is very different, and I will need all the good advice for settling in LIFOU. Likewise, I can share my Martinican experience with anyone who needs advice.
