About
José Antonio Zúniga Avellán: Nicaraguan poet born in the city of Chichigalpa, western Nicaragua, on 03/04/1956 and currently living in Costa Rica.
He is a Normalista teacher, with a degree in Spanish, with studies in graphic design and a practitioner of oil and watercolor painting.

His poetry is more attached to romanticism, to the search for internal, abstract and sensitive truth, his prose is pure and clean in its broadest expression. It is simple and sentimental in nature.
He sings of love, hope, change, he is committed to nature and its conservation.

His literary struggle is to make a more just society through words.
José Antonio relies on the raw reality of life to write his poetry. Choose transparency, simplicity, clarity that is the product of wisdom and the long mastery of rhetoric, exercise and poetry.

Other of his qualities is the humanist aspect: the endearing narrative, fundamental inventions of the country's life, his native Nicaragua, his revolutionary struggles, his solidarity, his constant monitoring of the country's situation, his commitment to the forgotten and the offended, his defense of democracy, freedoms and human values.

He has written two novels; "A lifetime", "Jump in the dark" and soon "Seller of love.
He has several stories to his credit; among them "La Hormiguita", "In the trunk of my dreams my loneliness sleeps"
I am a graphic designer, I make Web pages and paint in oils.
