The city is safe, it's an amazing place for shopping and the sun is shinning 360 days a year :-)
The current political situation of the countries around is a little worrying at the moment. But i'm sure Dubai won't have any problem.

People are very nice, the city is big but not too big. You have tons of pubs around and the scottish culture/ music is nice. People tend to think Glasgow is a dangerous city but I have never felt this, maybe it's an old reputation.
